Bachelorette Gift Ideas the Bride Will Actually Keep
So many bachelorette gifts are made for a single weekend: the sash, the matching shirts, the inflatable something. They're a blast on the day and quietly retired by the honeymoon. If you're choosing a gift for the bride, it's worth finding one she'll still reach for next year.
That idea sits behind most of what we sell, so yes, our own bags make an appearance. A few of the gifts here have nothing to do with our shop, too.
A bag she'll carry after the weekend
Mary Frances has been making hand-embellished bags for more than 30 years, and every piece is made by hand by a network of artisans. No two turn out exactly alike, which is a lovely thing to be able to say about a gift.
Olive Branch Crossbody Phone BagPhone bag
Beaded olive leaves and little blossoms on a bag sized just right for a phone, with a removable chain strap, a top compartment, and a side zipper pocket. A sweet match for a bride who loves things understated.
Purr-suit Crossbody Phone BagPhone bag
A beaded cat mid-pounce on a ball of yarn, in the same phone-sized shape with a chain strap. It's vegan friendly, and made for a bride with a sense of humor (or a cat, or both).
Budding Romance Crossbody Phone BagPhone bag
Bronze hand-beading and floral embroidery, set with genuine amethyst and lemon onyx. A top slip pocket with a hidden magnetic closure keeps her phone snug, and a side zip pocket holds her cards.
Sweet Pink Crossbody HandbagHandbag
A roomier bag blooming with beaded roses, bouquet style, with a magnetic closure and space for more than a phone. It arrives with a protective storage bag and a certificate of authenticity, which makes unwrapping it feel like an occasion.
Sweet & Tart Crossbody HandbagHandbag
Beaded cherries and florals against a dark background, a touch bolder than the Sweet Pink. A beaded chain strap, a magnetic closure, and the same storage bag and certificate of authenticity.
For the bridesmaids: mix, don't match
If you'd like to give each bridesmaid something, let them be a little different. These bags are handmade and we only keep one or two of each design, so a mix is the realistic route, and honestly the more fun one. Pick a design that suits each friend, or lay them all out and let everyone choose.
Gifts that don't need wrapping paper
Some of the best ones won't fit in a bag at all.
A group spa morning
Book the group in and treat the bride to her session. Our low-key Wilmington guide lists spas that welcome whole parties.
Her seat on a sunset cruise
Cover the bride's ticket for a river cruise at golden hour. Our on-the-water guide has a few to choose from.
Prints from the weekend
Gather everyone's photos into prints or a small photo book and mail it after the wedding, once life has calmed down. It costs little, and it's the kind of thing that ends up on a shelf for years.
A handwritten note
Tuck it into whatever else you're giving her. It costs nothing and will likely outlast everything else in the bag.
Whatever you choose, give it at the start of the weekend instead of the end, so she gets to enjoy it while everyone's together.
