How We'd Plan a 3-Day Bachelorette Weekend in Wilmington, NC
If a friend asked us how to spend a bachelorette weekend in Wilmington, this is roughly what we'd send back. You have two settings to work with here: the historic downtown along the Cape Fear River, and the beaches about twenty minutes away. A good weekend uses both.
Treat it as a starting point. Swap the days around, drop anything your group won't care about, and book the two things that need reservations (the Trolley Pub and any boat) as soon as you have dates.
Friday: settle in downtown
Whoever gets in first can grab a drink, but save the real start for when everyone has arrived. Then walk the Cape Fear Riverwalk along Water Street. It's lined with shops and bars, and with the river behind you it's the obvious place for the first group photo.
Keep dinner downtown so nobody has to drive. These three are a short walk apart:

Tacos, fajitas, and ceviche. It's a loud room, which works on a first night when everyone is catching up.

Local, sustainably sourced oysters in a casual room, with live music most Friday and Saturday nights and the sun going down over the river.

A small basement comedy club that books comics from Comedy Central, HBO, and BET. Good if your group would rather watch a show than close down a bar.
Saturday: the beach, then the Trolley Pub
Drive out to Wrightsville Beach for brunch at BlueBerry's Grill (buttermilk pancakes, omelets made with local ingredients) and spend the morning on the sand. If anyone wants to try paddleboarding, Wrightsville SUP rents boards and gives lessons to first-timers.
Head back downtown for the afternoon and ride the Trolley Pub, the activity Wilmington bachelorette parties are best known for. It's a pedal-powered party bike that loops through the historic district for about two hours with music playing. Your group pedals and a driver steers. Tours leave from 106 N 2nd Street.
If you'd rather be on the river at golden hour, Wilmington Water Tours runs two-hour cruises from 212 S. Water Street with historic commentary, and some sailings have live music. The boat holds 49 people. Cape Fear Riverboats has narrated tours, sunset cruises, and private charters of one to four hours.
For Saturday night, have dinner downtown and then go to Alcove Beer Garden in the Cargo District. It's built out of old shipping containers, Beat St and Salita Pizza serve food on site, and it makes for good pictures.
Sunday: coffee and something slow
Start at Port City Java, which has been roasting coffee in Wilmington since 1995. If anyone grew up on Dawson's Creek or One Tree Hill, tell them: it appeared in the first and was the filming location for Karen's Café in the second.
After that, Airlie Gardens is an easy last stop. It dates to 1901 and has walking trails, sculptures, a butterfly house, and the Airlie Oak, which is 468 years old. If the group is too tired for walking, book a group spa day at Coastal Massage & Spa instead and send everyone home rested.
Everything here is within about twenty minutes of downtown, so you'll spend the weekend together instead of in the car. If you only have one full day, keep Saturday as written and fit in whatever else you can.
